My Story

The Hold-up

"Hands behind your head! This is a hold-up!" The skinny and short figure shouted from behind his black wool ski mask. "Please don't hurt us, " pleaded the bank teller. He sneered, "We'll see. I want all the money from the cash register to be put right here!" He shoved a navy duffel bag towards her. The bank teller frantically stuffed the money in the bag. The door opened and another figure with a black ski mask stumbled in. "This is a hold-up, nobody move!" The second bank robber yelled. The first bank robber turned and looked at the second bank robber, "Are you kidding? This is MY hold-up, get out of here and find another bank to rob!" "I'm not budging an inch," the tall and slim second bank robber shouted, waving his gun in the air. "Watch where you point that thing!" The first bank robber pointed HIS gun at the second bank robber. The tall robber scowled from behind his mask and walked up to the bank teller., "Excuse me, could you please split the money in half and put it in MY duffel bag?" "It's MY money, not yours!" The short bank robber screamed. "Shut up," the tall robber commanded. "Sir....and sir... I'm all done," the bank teller handed the two robbers back their duffel bags.

The two bank robbers scurried off in the same direction, running side by side. "What do you think you're doing?" The second robber yelled. "What do you think I'm doing? Buying a newspaper? I'm going to my hotel," The first one said sarcastically. "Me too," the tall robber said. They ran and ran and ran and both stopped in front of a hotel and looked at the other. "Are you staying here?" They asked at the same time. "Yes," they both said in unison. They ripped off their ski masks and walked into the hotel and both of them went into the elevator. They both pushed the 5th floor button at the same time. Glaring at eachother the whole way the elevator moved up, neither of them said anything. The elevator opened to the fifth floor. They both turned left and walked down the corridor side by side without a word. The short one stopped at room 532 and the tall one stopped at room 534. They pushed their keys in their slots and opened the doors of their rooms.

The short one sat on the bed and looked at the adjorning door in front of him. This door led to room 534. "That stupid hick stole my money," he muttered under his breath. A plan formed in his head.

Meanwhile, the tall robber was sitting on his bed, watching the door. "I don't trust him," he glared at the door. An idea popped in his head.

At midnight, the short robber was dressed in black, ready to break in the tall one's room. He had saw the robber leave his room number 534. The short robber took out his lockpicking kit and worked at the door. The door creaked open with ease. The figure in black sneaked in and looked around for the black duffel bag. He found it and took the tall robber's half. He sneaked back to room 532 and locked the door. Ring! The phone rang.

The tall robber smirked, hearing the short one leave his room, taking a phone call that he, himself, had placed. The robber opened the adjorning door after making a pit stop in his lockpicking kit. The robber looked for the navy duffel bag, and finding it, took the money.

The next morning they both checked out, taking eachother's money, heading to either Washington State or New York.
